Another day, another hot one…

Highs expected in the upper 80’s today, with heat index values in the upper 90’s.


A crew member of country music star Keith Urban was flown to a Toledo hospital after falling off the stage Thursday morning while preparing for the second day of the Bash on the Bay music fest on Put-in-Bay.

According to the Sandusky Register, the man was seriously hurt, with his current condition not known.

Keith Urban was the headliner at last night’s final night of the festival, with Blake Shelton headlining on Wednesday night.


In COVID numbers…

There were close to 5,400 cases reported on Thursday statewide. The Ohio Department of Health says, new cases among children…ages 5 to 18…has doubled in the past month.

Huron County saw 56 new reported cases on Thursday.


A man from Fremont has been convicted of aggravated murder in Erie County.

According to the Sandusky Register, 30-year-old Demetrius Hall was found guilty Thursday in the stabbing death of 32-year-old Cevin Stanley of Sandusky, which took place at the Golden Corral restaurant in Sandusky in December of 2019.

Hall will be sentenced on Monday.


No serious injuries are reported from a three-car, chain reaction crash at Route 57 and Chestnut Ridge in Elyria Thursday afternoon…

The Highway Patrol says, a car driven by a 97-year-old woman rear-ended a car, pushing it into the car in front of it.


The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced;…the intersection of Route 113 and Baumhart Road will close September 7th, for construction of a roundabout.

Detours signs will be posted, into November…


Businesses and vendors are asked to be on the lookout for counterfeit money on Put-in-Bay.

This, after police there say a golf-cart rental company discovered a fake one-hundred-dollar bill on Thursday.

It’s festival time once again.

The 30th annual Lions Club Perch Festival takes place Saturday in Marblehead.

The event gets going at 10 am with a parade; along with the usual festival favs — including food vendors, live music and a car show.

-High school football tonight here on K96, as Norwalk hosts Huron. Pregame coverage at 6:30, kickoff at 7 pm.
