A car driven by a juvenile, containing another juvenile and an adult passenger, was involved in a 3-vehicle, serious injury crash Friday afternoon in Huron County.
The 2 juveniles suffered life-threatening injuries and the adult passenger, 44-year-old Mohammad Ebeid of Wakeman was seriously hurt in the crash that occurred on Route 18 and Chenango Road in Clarksfield Township.
The State Highway Patrol says that the vehicle driven by a juvenile ran a stop sign and was hit by a semi-truck, which pushed the semi into another vehicle.
Two men have been arrested in the shooting death of a Sandusky man.
34-year-old Curtis Thomas of Kenton has been charged with aggravated murder and 27-year-old Shakill Henderson faces a charge of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder.
They were located on Route 18 in Seneca County on Friday.
According to the Sandusky Register, Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver believes Thomas was the gunman.
On July 10th, 34-year-old Elisha Cannon was found shot in a vehicle in the area of South Larchmont Drive in Sandusky, and died at the hospital.
Police in Lorain are looking for a so-called “Person of Interest”, in connection with a shooting yesterday afternoon, near a service station at 28th and Broadway.
The person who was shot was taken to Metro in Cleveland.
Police have released a picture of the “Person of Interest” taken from surveillance video.
The good news…
Sunshine again today should help dry out a very soggy northern Ohio.
The bad news…rescue crews were busy this past weekend, rescuing people from high water in Elyria, Bedford and Kent.
In Elyria, crews rescued a man swept down the Black River near Cascade Park.
In Huron County COVID-19 numbers…
According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, no new cases were reported on Sunday.
The death toll remains at 122, since the start of the pandemic.
Look out for road work early this week near Norwalk.
ODOT says that Route 20 along the Norwalk Bypass, from Route 61 to the end of the bypass at Cleveland Road, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project…today through Wednesday.
Two new detours today in Lorain County…
In Lorain, a portion of Leavitt Road will be closed from West 20th to Edith, for railroad crossing repairs.
And in southern Lorain County…
Route 303 between Quarry and Pitts will close for a culvert repair.
Both projects are expected to continue through the week.
The date has been announced for the 7th annual National Night Out ‘Touch-a-Truck’ event in Sandusky.
It will take place Tuesday, August 3rd from 4 to 7pm at Battery Park and the Sandusky Bay Pavilion.
The event known as ‘America’s Night Out Against Crime’ will feature over 80 large vehicles along with activities for all ages.
