The CDC has announced; masks do not need to be worn outdoors if one is fully vaccinated and not in a large crowd.

Governor Mike DeWine also announced; any Ohioan who has received the COVID-19 vaccine will no longer have to quarantine if they are exposed to someone with COVID.

He hopes this provision will encourage young people to get the vaccine.

Huron County Public Health is hosting a no-appointment, COVID-19 drive-thru vaccination clinic later today.

The Modena vaccine will be administered to those 18 and up from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Huron County Public Health on Executive Drive in Norwalk.

In Huron County COVID-19 figures…

2 more deaths and 11 new cases were reported on Tuesday.

The death toll now sits at 117 since the pandemic began.

Sex trafficking charges have been dismissed for a Toledo man and woman in Erie County.

According to the Sandusky Register, 43-year-old Dominique Wilson and 28-year-old Dartavia Payne have pleaded guilty to a lesser felony charge of promoting prostitution.

It’s up to 18 months in prison for the pair, who’ll be sentenced in July.

A resident of Lorain County faces charges in Elyria and North Ridgeville…charged in three attempted robberies.

Police say, all three happened this past Sunday…two at motels, the other at a service station.

45-year-old Joseph Powers is being held under a 10-thousand-dollar bond.

A schedule has been set for finding the next superintendent of Norwalk City Schools.

According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, the school board has plans to hire a new super by July 1st, with a deadline of May 23rd for candidates’ applications, and interviews to begin on June 7th.

Current Norwalk Superintendent George Fisk announced earlier this month that he’s accepted the super’s job at Summit County’s Coventry Schools, to be closer to his family…in which he’ll leave for at the end of July.

If you were anywhere near the Mile Long Pier in Lorain yesterday, you probably saw a lot of smoke and flames.

It was a controlled burn to remove phragmites, an invasive grass.
