A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 this morning.

Erie County is under a Level 1; while Huron County is under a Level 2 Snow Advisory.

School delays and closings are piling up.

All Huron County-operated buildings are under a 2-hour delay this morning.


Police in Elyria have arrested a second person, allegedly involved in an altercation on Lake Avenue that led to gunfire back in November.

22 year old Jarvis Burns Junior was arrested this week.

23 year old Demarcus Boone surrendered in December.


Huron County is looking to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.

They would be the 16th to do so.

The Norwalk Reflector reports that County Commissioners plan to sign the resolution next Tuesday; stating that the county will decline to enforce any new gun control laws that get put to place by the state or federal government.


A local girls’ basketball player has apologized for an on-court incident last Saturday that gained national media attention.

In a video released on social media, Bellevue High School senior Casey Santoro appeared to pull down Norwalk senior Olivia Ward by the ponytail and throw her to the floor; which Ward’s family say left her with a concussion.

Santoro served a one-game suspension on Tuesday night; handed down from Bellevue Schools.

Santoro released a statement via Twitter yesterday saying she never intended to hurt anyone and she’ll learn from the incident and become a better person because of it.

Ward’s family says they’ve accepted the apology and have felt bad about all of the negative attention the incident has caused due to social media.


A new edition to the Sandusky Fire Department…

According to the Sandusky Register, city commissioners have approved the purchase of a new ambulance, costing close to $303,000.

The 2021 model will arrive this November; replacing a 2007 model.


Republicans in the Ohio Senate have rejected a bill approved by Republicans in the Ohio House; that would have revised the state’s so-called “Ed Choice Program”, for school choice.

Their rejection also delays any possible return of local control to the Lorain City Schools, as the bill included an amendment addressing state takeovers in Lorain, Youngstown and East Cleveland.


Ribbon-cutting ceremonies are set for tomorrow morning, for Multilink’s new powder-coating facility.

It’s located on East Broad Street in Elyria.


The Perkins Township Fire Department has made some personnel moves.

Firefighters Dan Sharpe and Zach Taylor have been hired full-time…and Brad Bauer has been promoted to Lieutenant.
