According to the Sandusky Register, 30-year-old William Harmeling was discovered on Route 101; covered in dirt.

Harmeling is believed by authorities to have recently broken into a Strecker Road business and attempted to bust into a resident’s barn on Homegardner Road.

A Florida man faces multiple charges after authorities say he led them on a pursuit on the Ohio Turnpike Saturday night in Erie County.

According to the State Highway Patrol, it all started when they tried to initiate a traffic stop of a vehicle reportedly involved in a hit-skip crash.

Patrol troopers say the car driven by suspect, Jacoby Smart, led them on a pursuit in Oxford Township where Smart’s vehicle struck the back of a commercial vehicle, went through a fence…and ended after a brief foot chase.

Smart was treated for non-serious injuries.
