The Lucas County Coroner says the death of a Huron County teen whose body was found Monday in Toledo…will be ruled a suicide; pending a toxicology test.

Toledo media outlets report that 17-year-old Western Reserve student Damian Henning’s body was discovered underneath the Anthony Wayne high-level bridge…after being last seen Sunday afternoon leaving his job at Kalihari.

 

A 16-year-old Sandusky boy has been charged with two counts of felonious assault.

According to the Sandusky Register, the teen allegedly shot two adults in an East Perkins Avenue apartment…which authorities believe took place following an argument.

The two adults were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

New leadership will be coming to the Lorain City Schools in January.

The Academic Distress Commission voted last night, to part ways with CEO David Hardy Junior, even though his contract runs through next June.

ADC Chair Randall Sampson says, the commission, the Lorain School Board and community members will all be involved in finding Hardy’s replacement.

The city of Sheffield Lake is moving ahead with plans to sell the Shoreway Shopping Center on Lake Road.

City council has hired a real estate firm to find a buyer.

The city bought the shopping center 11 years ago when it had fallen into disrepair.

 

The annual food drive sponsored by Student Council at McCormack Middle School in Huron is underway.

Items can be brought in with a McCormack student or can be dropped off in the school office daily from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

 

The artist responsible for the new art murals at Sandusky Transit stops is hosting a ‘meet and greet’ on Saturday.

Sandusky’s own Jordan Arnell will be on hand at Carrington Arts on West Water from 12 to 2 pm.

 

A welder, pallet jack and various computer and kitchen equipment are among the assortment of items that will be available at the State’s miscellaneous property auction this Saturday.

The auction will be held at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services on Surface Road in Columbus at 9:00 am.

All inventory will be sold “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee of any kind.
