Old Man Winter has arrived a bit early…dumping multiple inches of snow last night and overnight. 

Several counties are under a ‘Level 1’ Snow Emergency including Erie and Huron counties. 

Most schools are closed today. 

Expect cold temps today in the 20’s and some light snow this morning as a ‘Winter Weather Advisory’ expires. 


The Huron County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a missing teenage boy. 

17-year-old Damian Henning, a Western Reserve student, was last seen Sunday afternoon leaving Kalahari Resorts in a yellow Ford Mustang. 


A Sandusky man has been arrested on drug charges.

According to the Sandusky Register, 21-year-old Donavan Hill was charged with cocaine possession and drug trafficking after an officer approached him on Milan Road, near McKelvey Street.


Despite a strike and ongoing labor negotiations between automakers and the United Auto Workers, sales of new vehicles in northern Ohio grew by more than three percent last month.

The Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association reports; new vehicle sales…year-to-date…are running neck-and-neck with numbers from a year ago.

Elyria’s newest public library is open for business.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held yesterday at the new South Branch on 15th street.

Construction was made possible by voters who approved a bond-issue several years ago.


Edison High School’s Interact Club is hosting a pizza fundraiser this evening…

Pizza from six local parlors will be available to eat ‘buffet-style’ along with water and soft drinks for 10-bucks a person. 

Proceeds will go toward international, school, and community service projects.

It runs from 4:30 to 7:00 pm in the Edison High School cafeteria.


An international women’s group with Sandusky-ties is celebrating a 100 years later today.

The community is invited to attend the celebration of The Zonta Club of Greater Sandusky in the lobby of Sandusky City Hall…at 4:30 pm.

A proclamation reading from Sandusky city officials will then take place at 5:00 pm.


Results are in from a chili cook-off featuring area first responders.

Sandusky Police Sergeant Tracy Susana and the Sandusky PD took home first place in the ‘Battle of the Badges’ held at Mad River Harley Davidson in Sandusky.

Perkins Township Police Department finished in second place.
